FIFA World Rankings

FIFA World Rankings

World football governing body FIFA compile a list of world rankings which rank each international team with points. The idea of this is that you can get a clear idea who the best and worst teams are in International football and it can be used as a quick reference guide before placing your World Cup bets if you don't know too much about the teams that are playing. The points are awarded based on results and the standard of the opposition.

Make sure you take a few things into account before you place any bets based on the team's world ranking. For example, a team might win all their matches but against opposition that is not very strong in the world game. These points do take the standard of opposition into account but this is still worth considering.
