Ghana v USA Betting
2014 World Cup - Group G
16th June - KO: 11pm BST -
Ghana and the United States meet in their first match of the 2014 World Cup in Group G. With Germany and Portugal the other two teams in the group, a defeat for either in their first match will make things very difficult to qualify for the knockout stages.
The pair have met twice before, in the last two World Cup's where Ghana came out on top on both occassions. The Africans won 2-1 in the Group Stages of the 2006 World Cup before knocking the USA out of the 2010 World Cup 2-1 after extra time in the last sixteen four years ago.
The USA qualified with ease from the CONCACAF region, whilst Ghana were unbeaten in qualifying, beating Egypt 7-3 on aggregate in their play-off match. The betting is tight between the two for this fixture.

Ghana v United States Odds
Head to Head
- 2010 World Cup: 26th June 2010 - USA 1 - 2 Ghana
- 2006 World Cup: 22nd June 2006 - Ghana 2 - 1 USA
Asamoah Gyan - The former Sunderland striker may be playing his football in the UAE, but he's still a key part of the Ghana squad and represents their strongest goal threat. Gyan scored the winner in extra time the last time these two met in 2010.
Clint Dempsey - The Seattle Sounders forward always offers a goal-threat and he's likely to be leading the line for a USA team where goals came easy in qualifying.
