While England are playing Slovenia at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, the USA and Algeria will be meeting at Loftus Versfeld in the other half of this intriguing group. The USA are expected to claim the win here and will have designs on nabbing themselves a place in the World Cup last 16 and that is a view backed up by the bookmakers. The Algerians should have their work cut out against the United States having just scraped through qualification, they did however have a decent African Cup this year and will be buoyed by their 0-0 against England on Friday night.
The USA meanwhile cruised through qualification as always and will be looking to justify their high world ranking in the top 20 by making it through to the last 16. They have become stronger and stronger in recent years and are now an experienced side who are tough to beat. This has been proved with the 1-1 draw against England and coming back from two goals down to draw with Slovenia on Friday.
The USA are the stronger team and as such they the odds-on favourites to take the three points here and move a step closer to the last 16. Algeria are given very little chance of claiming anything here with the draw perhaps their best bet while an Algerian win is given very little chance by the bookmakers.
