Switzerland v Ecuador Betting
2014 World Cup - Group E
15th June - KO: 5pm BST -
Switzerland are the top seeds in Group E of the 2014 World Cup thanks to their high world ranking. Ottmar Hitzfield's side qualified for the finals by winning Group E of European qualification without losing a goal. The Swiss and France will be hopeful of qualifying from the Group and a win against Ecuador will be the first task.
The Swiss could be a surprise package in the 2014 World Cup. Very difficult to beat, scoring goals was always a problem, but with Xherdan Shaqiri in the side they have that bit of X Factor up front. The Swiss only conceded six goals in ten qualification games and they face an Ecuador team who struggle to find the net. The South Americans qualified finishing in fourth place in the CONMEBOL, although the majority of the points won came at home where they play several thousand feet above sea level. Qualifiers in 2002 and 2006, they'll need to take points from Switzerland or France if they want to reach the last sixteen.
The bookmakers' make Switzerland favourites for this Group E opener.
