Russia World Cup Betting

Russia have proven to be strong contenders on the European stage in recent years and they will be confident that they can upset the odds in the latest World Cup betting. Fabio Capello has them well drilled and they won Group F of European qualifying by one point from Portugal. The 2014 finals will be their tenth appearance in a World Cup and Capello's team has been drawn in Group H alongside top seeds Belgium, Algeria and South Korea.

Russia got off to a disappointing start to the World Cup drawing 1-1 with South Korea before a late winner for Belgium in their second game meant a 1-1 draw with Algeria in their final game gave them no chance of qualifying for the second round.
