The Royal Bafokeng Stadium is situated in Rustenburg and will play host to six matches in the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. The stadium will have a capacity of 42,000 by the time the tournament starts which will bring it up to FIFA standards to host games in a major tournament such as this. The stadium is named after the Bafokeng people who leave on the land around the stadium and is likely to prove a popular stadium as it is only half an hour away from Sun City.

Royal Bafokeng - 2010 World Cup Fixtures

The stadium will play host to six matches during the football World Cup with the first match coming on Saturday June 12th with England and the United States squaring off in Rustenburg in their first Group C match. The Royal Bafokeng will also hold a 2nd Round knock-out match between the winners of Group C and the 2nd placed team from Group D which should prove an exciting affair.
