North Korea World Cup Betting

North Korea will be contesting their first World Cup Finals since 1966 when they reached the quarter-finals in England before losing to Portugal. The North Koreans have done an excellent job of qualifying for the 2010 World cup after they came in second in their group behind neighbours and rivals South Korea. This will also be the first World Cup ever which will have featured both North and South Korea which is a big event for the people of both countries.

The World Rankings place North Korea at No.106 and the side are managed by Kim Jong-Hun and he will be looking to guide the team to a successful campaign in South Africa. On paper, North Korea could well be one of the weaker sides who will be heading to the World Cup and will face an uphill battle to just record a victory.

North Korea World Cup Matches

North Korea couldn't have wished for a worst draw in the World Cup as the draw has pitted them up against Brazil, Portugal and the Ivory Coast. A spiritied display from North Korea against Brazil but in the end to no avail as they lost 2-1. A 7-0 loss to Portugal in their second match and a 3-0 defeat to Ivory Coast meant that the North Koreans finished bottom of Group G.
