Nigeria won Group F in African qualification for the World Cup finals in Brazil 2014. The Super Eagles won a group which included Malawi, Namibia and Kenya, as they look to make a fifth World Cup appearance. Stephen Keshi's side came through a qualifying play-off in against Ethiopia 4-1 on aggregate to reach the finals in Brazil next year. The Nigerians have been drawn in Group F alongside Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran.
Nigeria played out a goalless draw with Iran in their first game of the tournament, but a win over Bosnia meant they could afford to lose to Argentina in their final game and still qualify for the second round. Nigeria met France in the second round where they lost out 2-0.
