Robert Vittek (M Stoch 84)
These two teams meet in Rustenburg for this Group F match with both sides looking to claim the win, New Zealand produced some stunning performances to qualify for the tournament and they will be itching to get started. Slovakia however will be expected to claim the win and if they can they will be in a good position to move forward to the knock-out stages. Group F also contains Italy and Paraguay so it looks like there will be three teams fighting for that second spot behind the Italians and the Slovaks will fancy their chances. They surprised many with their performances in qualifying and look to have built a strong squad who are capable of matching most of the big teams on their day.
The New Zealanders are playing in their first World Cup for some time and according to the betting are likely to struggle in this group, they are no mugs though and will fancy their chances of causing an upset.

World Cup Squads and Key Players
If either of these teams are to make an impact at this Summer's World cup then they will need all of their best players fit and on form which makes the team news vital. Neither side are blessed with strength and depth with New Zealand particularly thin on the ground, they will be looking to their captain Ryan Nelson of Blackburn to lead the line and organise the defence.
The Slovaks do have a larger pool of players on offer and they will be hoping their key men can steer clear of injuries in the build up to this match, they will be looking towards the likes of Martin Skrtel and Robert Vittek to lead the team to three points.
Unsurprisingly there have been no previous meetings between the two with Slovakia a relatively young country and New Zealand more famous for their rugby, sill their first meeting could not be more important as there are three World Cup points up for grabs. A win for either side will give them one foot in the last 16 with Italy to come for both sides which will be difficult, Slovakia will feel they can beat New Zealand and leave them with a showdown with Paraguay for that second spot.
