The Netherlands had a 100% record in qualifying for the World Cup and they have continued that form by winning all three of their group games to reach the last sixteen where they will play Slovakia. Speaheaded by a forward five of Robin Van Persie, Rafael Van Der Vaart, Dirk Kuyt, Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben, goals shouldn't be too hard to come by. The Dutch didn't set the World Cup alight during the group stage, despite winning all matches, none of the performances were particularly impressive. They are sure to face a stiffer taste against Slovakia.

Slovakia are a bit of a Jeckyll and Hyde team this World Cup. After conceding a last minute equaliser to New Zealand in their first match, they were extremely negative in defeat to Paraguay before putting in a fantastic display to knock the holders Italy out of the competition. Slovakia are a big, physical team and with Robert Vittek up front, he'll give the so far relatively untested Dutch defense a real workover.

Netherlands v Slovakia Odds

The Netherlands are huge odds on favourites for this last sixteen match against Slovakia. The Dutch haven't had a real test though so far and although they are an eminently better team than Italy, Holland could be in for a physical battle in Durban on Monday afternoon.

Netherlands Form

The Netherlands form is good, but you get the feeling they have been doing just enough in the group matches without needing to get into top gear. They have also had the chance to rest Arjen Robben without any negative impact on results. The win over Cameroon meant that the Dutch were the first team to qualify for the last sixteen with maximum points from the group stage.

Slovakia Form

As mentioned above, the Slovakia form is somewhat patchy. Two dissapointing performances against New Zealand and Paraguay preceeded probably the countries best ever display in beating Italy 3-2. Confidence will be sky high and if the odds are anything to go by, they have nothing to lose in this last sixteen match with Holland.

Latest Team News

Arjen Robben got a run out in Holland's last group game against Cameroon, but Netherlands manager Bert van Marwijk will treat the Bayern Munich player with caution ahead of Monday's second round match with Slovakia.

Slovakia coach Vladimir Weiss described his team's 3-2 win over holders Italy as one of his proudest moments and is likely to stick with the team that got the win for the clash with Holland on Monday.
