The 14th June sees the Group E favourites enter the tournament as the Netherlands take on Denmark in a crucial first round match, the venue for the match will be the brand new Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg. The Dutch are always well fancied for any major championship and 2010 will be no different despite the fact they have never lifted the World Cup, they are packed full of talent and are capable of beating any team. The Dutch qualified with great ease for the World Cup and look bang in form as they prepare to face the tough Danes in the opener. Denmark are a strong outfit with some big names but they will need to be on top of their game if they are to compete with their stronger rivals.
Denmark also qualified well for the World Cup and should not be taken lightly as they do have power and experience on their side as they have shown over the past couple of years. They have several big names in their squad with many Premier League players to call on meaning that the Dutch will be wary of the threat posed by the Euro 1992 winners.
The Dutch are the clear favourites in this which is no surprise, in fact the Netherlands are odds-on to take the three points and start their campaign on a high note. The Danes will be more than happy to take a point if possible and that is reflected in the betting with a Danish win looking highly unlikely at this stage.

Latest Team News/Key Players
The Netherlands are a squad full of star names and they will need as many as possible fit and on form if they are to close at the World Cup, the majority of their players play in the top leagues across Europe which should give them the advantage here. The star names include Rafael Van Dar Vaart, Robin Van Persie, Wesley Sneider and Dirk Kuyt and if all of those get to South Africa in good shape then they will prove very dangerous. We will be keeping our special eye on the Dutch camp in the build up to the match for the latest team news which may affect the starting line-up for the Denmark match.
Denmark more importantly will need their star name on show if they are to beat the Dutch as they have considerably weaker squad, Daniel Agger, Nicklas Bendter and Thomas Sorenson are the key names that will need to be on the team sheet come the 14th June.
