Mbombela Stadium

Mbombela Stadium

Mbombela Stadium is one of the newly built stadiums for the 2010 World Cup and is situated in the city of Nelspruit and will play host to four matches during the tournament. Once built, the new stadium will house 44,000 fans and was deliberately built relatively close to the Kruger National Park so tourists will be able to double up their visit to the match with a game drive.

Mbombela means 'many people together in a small space' in SiSwati and is the first major football stadium in the area which the local people are excited about having.
