This is perhaps the most eagerly anticipated game of the entire group stage of the 2010 World Cup with Brazil meeting Portugal at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Group G. These are two of the top teams in World football and both will be looking to go deep into the tournament. Brazil are the favourites to take the win here against an inconsistent Portuguese side but this could go either way with a last 16 place potentially on the line. Brazil are of course one of the favourites to take the World Cup and having qualified with ease in South America it is hard to argue with that assessment. A draw for both sides would see them go through, but with a potential last sixteen match with Spain awaiting the group runners -up, both teams will be keen to win.
Portugal had a tough time in qualification having to go through a play-off and although they played out a drab 0-0 draw with the Ivory Coast in their first game, a 7-0 thrashing of North Korea on Monday was a big improvement. With the African team playing North Korea and expected to claim the three points it could mean that the seven goals Portugal scored will be vital.
Brazil v Portugal Match Odds
The mighty Brazil are always the favourites in any game they play and the Portugal match is no different as the bookies make them odds-on to claim the three points. Portugal though were semi-finalists in 2006 and with some flair players on show should not be ruled out although according to the odds they face an uphill battle to claim anything here.

Match Day Squads
This is a very interesting match for a punter to get involved with as Brazil and Portugal face off at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. We will have a foot in both camps in the build up to the race to bring all the latest team news which may impact on the final result. Brazil have a very strong pool of players to pick from but their starting eleven is likely to feature Robinho and Luis Fabiano who will be looking to score the goals needed.
The star name for Portugal is of course Cristiano Ronaldo who is more than capable of turning a game on his own so if he is fit and on form then Portugal will fancy their chances of claiming an unlikely win. Also important for Portugal will be Deco and Ricardo Carvalho who both play for Chelsea in the Premier League and their fans will want them to avoid any knocks before this huge game.
Live Score and Result
This is a crucial game in Group G which has been dubbed the 'Group of Death' by many onlookers with the other game in the group also going on at the same time. Brazil are expected to move forward to the last 16 with Portugal under pressure here from Ivory Coast who are playing North Korea. The World Cup Live Scores will be closely following both matches through the 90 minutes with all the major incidents being covered.
The final result will be very interesting indeed and it is always heard to look past Brazil in any match they play. They certainly have the stronger squad on paper but if Ronaldo is fit and firing them you can never rule Portugal out as he can win a match on his own.
