Belgium v United States Betting
2014 World Cup - 2nd Round
1st July - KO: 9pm BST -
Belgium face the United States in the 2014 World Cup last sixteen on Tuesday night in Salvador. The European side are favourite to qualify for the quarter finals having won Group H without losing a match and only conceding one goal, a penalty in their first match against Algeria which they won 2-1. Two subsequent 1-0 wins over Russia and South Korea, the Belgians under Marc Wilmots reign have looked solid if not spectacular so far in the tournament.
The USA defied the odds to qualify for the second round as Group G runners' up behind Germany. The 1-0 defeat to the Germans in their final match was enough to see Jurgen Klinsmann's side progress at the expense of Portugal on goal difference. The USA have won, drawn and lost a game so far in the tournament and will be tough to beat for this talented Belgian side.
The betting has Belgium as odds on favourites to qualify. Belgium won the last meeting between the two sides just over a year ago in an International friendly but the US have beaten Belgian in the World Cup before, albeit in 1930!
