Argentina v Switzerland Betting
2014 World Cup - 2nd Round
1st July - KO: 5pm BST -
Argentina are amongst the favourites to win the 2014 World Cup and they will take on Switzerland in the second round in Sao Paulo on Tuesday evening. Alejandro Sabella's Argentina reached the last-sixteen by winning Group F, although they weren't always particularly convincing as they needed some magic from Lionel Messi to overcome supposed 'group minnows' Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran.
The Swiss scraped through as Group E runners up behind France. Wins over Ecuador and Honduras were enough for Ottmar Hitzfeld's side, but they could still be carrying some scar tissue to the second round having lost to France 5-2 in the group stages.
The Swiss have never beaten Argentina in three attempts, last meeting in the 1966 World Cup where Argentina wound up 2-0 winners.
The bookies see Argentina as the likely favourites to qualify for the quarter finals.

Lionel Messi - It is hardly an original choice of key player but Lionel Messi has single-handedly dragged Argentina through the group stages. The comparisons with Diego Maradona are inevitable and Messi could yet emulate the legendary playmaker, who won the World Cup in 1986.
Xherdan Shaqiri - The Bayern Munich forward dubbed as the 'Alpine Messi' finally broke his duck at the 2014 World Cup scoring a hat-trick in his team's deciding win over Honduras. The youngster looks the biggest goal threat for the Swiss and he can cause the Argentine defence some problems.
