2014 World Cup - Quarter Finals
5th July - KO: 5pm BST -
The third 2014 World Cup quarter final will be between Argentina and Belgium on Saturday 5th July in Brasilia. Both teams are unbeaten in the competition but have been equally as unimpressive. Argentina topped Group F with wins over Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran and Nigeria before beating Switzerland with a late Angel Di Maria winner deep into extra time in the second round.
Belgium were winners of Group H with victories over Algeria, Russia and South Korea and like Argentina were taken to extra time by a Tim Howard inspired United States team. Goals from Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku in the extra period gave Belgium the initiative before being made to sweat late on courtesy of a Julian Green strike for the USA.
The pair will be meeting for the third time in World Cups, with a win apiece. Belgium were triumphant in the 1982 World Cup winning 1-0, but Argentina got revenge in the 1986 World Cup semi-final as Diego Maradona inspired the South Americans to a 2-0 win before going on to lift the trophy.
The bookies see Argentina as the likely favourites to qualify for the semi finals.

Angel Di Maria - Di Maria was the hero in the second round as his extra time goal seperated the sides. It wasn't a stellar display from the Real madrid man but he has bags of energy and whilst the Belgium defence concentrate on keeping Lionel Messi quiet, Di Maria looks the most likely of the other Argentina players in attack.
Thibaut Courtois - The Chelsea keeper brings a stellar season domestically on loan at Atletico Madrid with him into the tournament and is still yet to feature on the losing side for Belgium, keeping six clean sheets from ten qualifiers for the finals and the key man to stop Messi and co in Brasilia.
