Asian Nations at the World Cup
Four teams from the Asian zone can qualify for the 2010 World Cup, with an extra spot going through to a play-off against the winner of the Oceania group for a place in the finals. South Korea made it to the semi-finals in 2002, the highest finishing position for an Asian based team in World Cup history.
